Job Description: Purpose of Position
The IT Security Analyst position performs information security processes to aid in the protection of the institution's information systems. This includes the operation, maintenance, and monitoring of multiple systems and related processes pertaining to IT security. The position reports to the Manager of IT Security.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Implement, operate, and maintain network security systems, including firewalls and VPNs.
- Develop and maintain IT security monitoring mechanisms.
- Perform vulnerability assessments, system security audits, and applicable remediation.
- Identify, analyze, and respond to security incidents.
- Research information security topics, tools, vulnerabilities, and threats.
- Provide support to clients and promote security awareness on IT security related issues.
- Serve as an information security resource on projects as directed.
- Assist in developing and monitoring the compliance of security policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with a team to identify and mitigate security risks.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation.

- A thorough understanding of IT security concepts, technologies, and best practices.
- Knowledge of vulnerability and assessment techniques and software.
- Ability to identify active security threats and perform forensic analysis.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and professional decision-making skills.
- Must be self-motivated and possess the ability to work independently, one-on-one, or with a team where situationally appropriate.
- Excellent and demonstrable troubleshooting skills.
Job Requirements:- 4-year degree
- A minimum of 4-year relevant experience.
- Experience with IT security concepts, methodologies, and processes.
- Experience with enterprise firewall management such as Cisco, Checkpoint, Palo Alto
- Proficiency with security monitoring and log event correlation.
- Experience with vulnerability testing tools and techniques.
- Experience identifying and mitigating security threats.
Additional Information:Pay Band: 10 Salary Range: $61,000 - $70,000
