Title: IT Security Analyst

Position Summary:
Responsible for IT infrastructure security, IT security operations tasks, IT incident response, and participating in information security projects.
Serves as a senior member of the IT Security Operations Team and an IT resource for cyber security knowledge and expertise.
This position works under the supervision of the Associate Director for IT Security and performs day to day operations.
This position is responsible for the deployment and adoption of information security tools and processes that support the Security Team, as well as district-wide IT infrastructure, enterprise applications, and end-user systems.
Primary Duties Performed:
- Conducts and correlates monitoring and intrusion analysis using various computer, network, and cloud-based defense tools including log and endpoint-based threat detection.
- Implements and manages on-premise and cloud information security tools, applications, and processes, including vulnerability management an incident response.
- Correlates activity across assets (endpoint, network, apps) and environments (on-premises, cloud) to identify patterns of anomalous activity.
- Documents response scenarios and use cases, and leverages automation to address operations and response tasks and flows.
Performs security standards testing against computers before implementation to ensure security. - Provides stakeholders with incident response support, including mitigating actions to contain activity and facilitating forensics analysis when necessary.

Required Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Any combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge and abilities to execute the responsibilities of this position. BS in computer science, information security, or cybersecurity and 5 years of experience in information security-related positions, demonstrating professional growth and progressive assignment of additional responsibilities.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Hybrid work/office environment. Ability to work remotely up to 3 days per week. |
Preferred Qualifications: Previous cybersecurity operations or network security experience. |
