Position Details:
The Opportunity:
As the Research Assistant, you will be responsible for performing work in support of scientific research, which provides practical experience in the sleep and performance research field. Your top priority in this position will be supporting the faculty team members in running studies. This includes but is not limited to: data collection, which includes working with participants and processing the data, and performing literature reviews. Additionally, this position has many diverse types of work beyond the top priorities so flexibility and organizational skills are necessary. Professionalism is expected.
This is a project position and is expected to end 1 year upon hire. Renewal is dependent on the need for extension to complete the project.

This is a part time (50% FTE), project position. This position is overtime eligible.
Project End Date: This is a project position expected to end one year from date of hire. Renewal is dependent on the need for extension and/or if additional funding is secured to extend employment.
Monthly Salary: $1,480.50 to $1,955 (Prorated at 50% FTE) | Range #33 | Steps A-M | Successful candidates are typically hired at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28. Step M is typically a longevity step.
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications: Two years of college level course work in a relevant academic area AND one year of appropriate experience OR equivalent education/experience.

Demonstrated ability to proactively complete duties and responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor degree in relevant field of study or equivalent related field experience performing professional-level work with scientific or clinical research protocols.
