Job Description: The D'Aniello Institute for Veterans and Military Families (IVMF) research and analytics (R&A) team is seeking an experienced professional to contribute to research, program evaluation and assessments, technical assistance projects, and other data and analytics efforts for both the IVMF and its partners. In this role, the research and evaluation associate will be responsible for project scoping, design, and planning; project execution and analysis; the presentation of results and insights; and supporting internal processes and communication on projects and initiatives. This role is critical to the success of the work conducted by the IVMF to integrate research, policy, and practice internally and externally.

Contribute to prospecting and proposal efforts for external research and evaluation projects in leading, supporting, and/or advising roles as appropriate, including proposal writing, project scoping, and statement of work development.
Establish measures, outcomes, and R&A specific deliverables within grants and proposals.
Provide guidance and support on business development and growth strategy, where applicable.
Advise and contribute to project planning efforts, including establishing activities, timelines, and deliverables.
Lead and/or advise on methodologies and protocols for projects, particularly related to research and evaluation activities.
Lead and/or contribute to data collection instrument and tool design, development, and dissemination.
Lead and/or contribute to original and secondary research and data analysis, interpretation of findings, and development of recommendations.
Lead and/or contribute to report writing and editing.
Contribute to ongoing project communication activities with external partners and clients.
Provide ongoing analytic and evaluation support for internal programs and lines of effort within area(s) of expertise.
Advise on design and implementation of measures and quality improvement practices of IVMF initiatives within area(s) of expertise.
Collaborate with Data Solutions team to design and implement reports, data management solutions, and other data needs of IVMF initiatives within area(s) of expertise.
Facilitate requirements gathering, adherence to data governance and security policies, and successful rollout of reports and tools.
Lead, support, and/or advise on the preparation and delivery of presentations related to projects and area(s) of expertise to internal and external audiences.
Lead, support, and/or advise on the writing of topically relevant blogs, reports, white papers, and other related written materials.
Contribute to policy efforts and writing.
Identify areas of opportunity for collaboration between the Research & Analytics and Programs & Services teams in area(s) of subject matter expertise.
Facilitate support of IVMF Programs & Services and ongoing communication related to applied research, evaluation, policy, and data.
Contribute to projects, programs, and initiatives in partnership with other university schools and departments where appropriate.
Manage students assigned to projects as appropriate.
