The Opportunity and Who You'll Work With:
As the WBUR IT Systems Administrator you'll be directly responsible for network management and upgrades, including switches, routers and firewalls. You'll also be directly responsible for management of WBUR server, desktops and disk array systems. Your responsibilities will also include maintenance, upgrades, patching, and diagnostic testing and repairs, as well as IT support for all WBUR remote activities including but not limited to remote broadcasts, offices and transmission facilities. You'll provide primary Helpdesk support for WBUR staff. This position has in-person requirements with the possibility for a hybrid option. Your participation in on-call rotation and holiday coverage is also required.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent/relevant experience
3-5 years of related experience

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong technical skills, including knowledge of network protocols and technologies, operating systems, and system administration tools
Experience with network management tools and software
Familiarity with industry standards and best practices for network monitoring and security
Good communication skills and the ability to work closely with other IT staff and users to identify and resolve network-related issues
Strong customer service and communication skills, ability to remain calm and patient under pressure
Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users in a clear and understandable way
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Knowledge of relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices.

Experience with systems and user management within an active directory environment
Office 365 applications
SharePoint and One Drive
Google Suite of applications
Kace desktop management or equivalent
Cisco VoIP including Jabber and WebEx desktop applications
Cisco networking hardware
Adobe Creative Suite including Audition
Jamf
Helpdesk application experience
Microsoft desktop and server operating systems
Hyper-V
Apple operating systems
