Overview
University Development and Alumni Relations (UDAR) is dedicated to soliciting the private funding necessary to support the strategic goals of the University in teaching, learning, and research. The personnel of UDAR work university-wide as well as within individual schools and colleges of the University to discover, motivate, cultivate, solicit, and steward alumni, parents, faculty, and friends for immediate, long-range, and future financial support, through gifts and pledges to the University, for critical operations such as student aid, faculty support, academic and research program development, and facilities and infrastructure. UDAR's endeavors raise funds for immediate University use and also for the University's endowment.
The Assistant Vice President, Technology Systems, Reporting, and Support will oversee and advance technology systems, reporting, and support services that enable the strategic and operational goals of University Development and Alumni Relations (UDAR). Provides strategic leadership to ensure seamless operations across UDAR's CRM systems, data warehouses, integrations, reporting solutions, and user support services. Partners closely with UDAR leadership, NYU IT, and external vendors to align technology investments with institutional priorities while fostering a culture of innovation, efficiency, and service excellence. Direct the strategic and tactical operations of UDAR's Application Development and Integrations, Business Intelligence and Analytics, and Network and User Support. Develop, lead, and manage UDAR-wide information security initiatives including endpoint security, infrastructure protection, the development and maintenance of administrative systems, and data integration with enterprise applications and third-party vendors. Manage and maintain UDAR's incident response and disaster recovery plans in partnership with leadership. Establish and direct project and technology governance for UDAR and coordinates projects, budgets, and staff across the University and in coordination with NYU IT. Ensures compliance with organizational, departmental, and relevant external regulations and policies.

Responsibilities
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Education: Master's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related technical discipline
Required Experience: 10+ years progressively responsible experience in technology systems, data management, or analytics, including supervisory responsibilities
Preferred Experience: 10+ years experience leading system conversions or major technology implementations in a higher education advancement setting
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Strong expertise in CRM systems (e.g., Blackbaud CRM), data integration tools, business intelligence platforms, and information security practices
Exceptional leadership, organizational, and project management skills, with a track record of managing complex initiatives
Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams in a collaborative and fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders
Familiarity with predictive analytics, API integrations, and advanced reporting tools such as Tableau or Microsoft BI Stack
Qualifications
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $205,000.00 to USD $255,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
