Miami University Athletics is seeking an Assistant/Associate Director of Creative Services to work within the Athletic Marketing and Fan Engagement unit to enhance and elevate the department’s graphic design execution while working within Miami University and Miami Athletics brand standards, assist with social media strategy and execution, and help build the visual gameday experience through development and execution of videoboard content and management. This position will develop and oversee projects and strategy in conjunction with department goals and will work with administrators, coaches, student-athletes, alumni, communications and other external units within the department.

Job Duties
Coordinate the department’s graphic design needs for social media, print/digital material and videoboard elements
Work closely with the Assistant A.D. for Marketing & Fan Engagement and staff to develop the creative needs of Miami Athletics
Work with University Communications & Marketing colleagues to be an ambassador for the brand and the visual story-telling for Miami Athletics
Assist with the department’s social media strategy, execution and analytics
Oversee and develop student interns on graphic design, social media and videoboard execution
Responsible for content and upload to assigned venue videoboards as well as in-game operation of assigned videoboard(s)
Other responsibilities and duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of experience in content creation and digital design
Must have previous experience as a content creator with an emphasis in graphic design as an intern, student intern or in a full-time position
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in athletics, experience in collegiate athletics a plus
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite with a heavy emphasis in Photoshop, Flash, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, audio production software as well as advanced knowledge in Canva and motion graphics
Excellent written and verbal communications and strong attention to detail
Superior organizational skills and ability to balance multiple projects
Must be motivated, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team
Self-starter; ability to multi-task in a high-energy and fast-paced environment
Ability to oversee, manage and direct student interns
Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to professionally communicate with all levels of staff, management, coaches and players
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays (will adjust work schedule to meet departmental demands)
