The University of Northern Iowa's Department of Management in the David W. Wilson College of Business seeks applications an annually renewable term appointment as Assistant Professor of Instruction or Practice, starting in August 2025. Primary teaching responsibilities will be in-person courses for Business Analytics and Supply Chain Management (SCM) majors. Teaching assignments might include Operations Management, Six Sigma and Lean Consulting Methodology, Supply Chain Modeling and Analytics, Introduction to Information Systems, Advanced Business Analytics, and other related topics and courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The instructor will teach four sections per semester and contribute to substantial service responsibilities.

In-person, on-campus teaching and regular office hours are required. Depending on demand and expertise, teaching responsibilities may include a limited number of online courses. Salary and benefits are competitive with peer institutions.

Education Requirements:

Master's degree from an AACSB-accredited school required.

Required Qualifications:

Stand-alone in-person teaching experience with evidence of a student-focused approach; experience using Microsoft Excel to support decision-making in a firm; evidence of strong communication and interpersonal skills; and the ability to teach in-person courses on UNI's campus required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in a firm dealing with business analytics or supply chain management; master's degree from an AACSB-accredited school closely related to the expected teaching areas; experience using a sophisticated learning management system such as Blackboard; and experience teaching courses asynchronously online preferred.
