1. Plans, develops and administers methods, strategies and procedures for meeting program objectives; directs and oversees the daily activities of staff members. 2. Prepares and monitors the annual budget and ensures that expenditures are within budget allocation. 3. Directs and coordinates personally, or through subordinate personnel, activities concerned with carrying out the objectives of the program. 4. Directs the preparation of and reviews reports and records of activities to ensure progress is being accomplished toward specified program objectives; modifies or changes methodology as required to redirect activities and attains objectives. 5. Analyzes trends within program areas, maintaining expert awareness of program information and change needs. 6. Formulates, implements, and maintains appropriate policies and procedures concerning program administration. 7. Manages and administers grant for program, including meetings, communication coordination, scholarships and other operations. 8. May prepare or participate in the preparation of proposals to obtain grants from state and federal agencies, and private foundation sponsors. 9. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
MQ: Education: Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Experience: Requires a minimum of three (3) years of directly job-related experience.

This role is vital for supporting student success initiatives by leveraging predictive analytics and data management skills, as well as assisting staff with data tools and CRM-related tasks. • Experience using predictive analytics to analyze large sets of structured and unstructured data to identify patterns and predict which students might need assistance support. • The specialist will collaborate with Retention and Graduation Initiatives leadership to understand analytical needs. They should have experience in dataset preparation, exploratory data analysis, statistical analysis, predictive model design and development, data visualization, and effectively delivering results to various stakeholders. • experience working within the education or edtech industry. Additional Responsibilities: • CRM Management: Maintain and develop as needed Slate hosted forms, queries, portals, and processes to enable staff managing New Student Orientation to perform their daily responsibilities most efficiently and accurately. • Data Management: Demonstrate aptitude for working with data, managing large datasets, and merging datasets using Excel or other data management software. Summarize and interpret large datasets to provide useful insights to stakeholders. • Exploratory Data Analysis: Work in collaboration with the Director of Student Success Research & Analysis to build and validate analytical data sets. • Process and Model Data: Create useful student attributes for Retention and Graduation Initiatives Degree Completion Specialists, supplying them with the necessary data to identify students in need of support. • Query Writing: Be skilled or willing to be trained in writing queries in an Oracle database (SQL or point-and-click). Create and modify standard and ad-hoc queries and reports. • Data Visualization and Reporting: Design analyses and data visualizations to provide insights into complex student success challenges, create and maintain reports and dashboards to present data analysis results, and present data-driven recommendations.
Preferred Education and Experience • Master's degree in Data Management or a related field. • Strong skills in statistical analysis and data visualization. Ability to analyze complex datasets and extract meaningful insights. • Proficiency in Excel and other data management software. • Experience implementing data governance and best practices to ensure data quality. • Proactive in identifying and addressing data-related issues. • Excellent communication skills for stakeholder interaction.
