Responsible for the coordination and management of conference services and event operations at the Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management. 1. Recommends and coordinates the logistical, planning, and registration of conference services and event operations. 2. Assists with developing and fostering sales associated with conference services and events. Works with clients to understand their conference needs, provides estimates of services, and conducts site tours. 3. Collaborates with internal partners to ensure the efficient operations of conference services and to exceed guests' expectations, including audio/visual services, catering, and facilities maintenance. 4. Serves as Conference Services Manager during events to minimize and resolve issues. 5. Assists in the training and mentoring of student workers who participate in the coordination of conference services. 6. Manages and directs the daily work activities of outsourced personnel and vendors. 7. Verifies, audits, and collects deposits and distributes statuses of Banquet Event orders and Group Resumes. 8. May oversee program expenditures and ensures adherence to budget. 9. Measures group room attrition and provides various reporting as needed. 10. Interprets departmental policies and procedures to enforce operational procedures. 11. Performs other job-related duties as required.
