Primary Purpose: The CRM Administrator for Development is primarily responsible for providing data management of the alumni, student, and donor data files within the organizational customer relationship management system. The CRM Administrator for Development performs system updates and provides technical expertise in integration with external platforms and maintains accurate information through the development of data validation and integrity processes. The CRM Administrator for Development is responsible for ensuring all staff members are fully trained within the CRM through the development and delivery of all training materials. The CRM Administrator for Development evaluates system utilization through regular audits and develops optimization plans to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness within the CRM. This position reports directly to the Senior Director for Analytics and Reporting.
Essential Functions:
Maintain all donor files for accurate historical representation of existing relationships.
Identify data integrity challenges and develop remediation plans that address root-cause issues.
Proactively identify opportunities for system improvements to include, but not limited to system utilization, staff development, and organizational processes.
Work closely with the Executive Director of Advancement Services, and Finance Department, providing accurate and timely contribution reporting, reconciliation, and audit support.
Establish and implement control systems to ensure data integrity.
Assess the organization's current database utilization and directly contribute to the development of more effective procedures and processes.
Assist in the development and maintain internal policies and procedures to ensure the quality and integrity of the database.
Set up and maintain user permissions/security groups and access for all staff.
Oversee the implementation of and stay current on data entry standards and best practices.
Serve as the resident subject matter expert on data structure, data collection, and information processes within the CRM.
Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy, and integrity.
Monitor CRM performance, implement changes and apply new updates when required.
Develop and maintain staff development resources to support daily engagement activities within the CRM.
Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's Degree or 48 completed units of post-High School education (Two (2) years of full-time experience in the same or similar position is equal to one (1) year of completed post-high school education coursework).
Three (3) years of data experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
Five (5) years of experience in data management and CRM administration in a higher education or nonprofit environment.
Foundational understanding of relational databases.
Experience documenting processes and implementing system controls.
Demonstrated ability to think critically and analytically.
Experience with developing and maintaining user roles and permissions in a CRM to uphold data security and control access.
Familiarity with privacy and data security standards, including best practices for data access and usage to ensure compliance with institutional policies and relevant legislation (e.g., FERPA, GDPR).
Meticulous attention to detail.
Experience with SQL or similar query/programming language.
Technical proficiency with data testing and data management.
Ability to work independently.
Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures.
Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting.
Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work.

Physical Requirements: Requires extended periods of sitting and repetitive hand/wrist motion while using computer keyboard and phone. Occasional standing, walking, climbing stairs, bending, stooping and reaching. Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.

Hiring Range: 25.87 - $34.28 per hour. We consider factors such as, but not limited to, scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's qualifications, internal equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
