The Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) is responsible for providing tactical and operational support related to the development, implementation, and management of the organization's information security program. The CISO leads a team of information security analysts and specialists for security administration, engineering, and operations, and collaborates with OneIT teams for enterprise solutions. Additionally, the CISO helps create or enhance information security policies, processes, and procedures to assure the availability, integrity, authentication, confidentiality, and nonrepudiation of information, information systems, and information assets.
Manage large and technical projects of varying scale, budgets, and resources to assure high quality, quantity, and efficient operation of deployed solutions.
Develop 1, 3, and 5-year technical plans based on campus needs and technology trends and perform routine strategic reviews to ensure campus technology needs are being met and technologies are in line with OneIT goals.
Supervise the security team and all operational security activities.
Oversee university IT policy and compliance.
Minimum Experience / Education:
Bachelor's degree
3+ years management experience
Experience managing security in higher ed environment
Familiarity with SIEM technologies
Fundamental understanding of network technologies & protocols
