Job Description Summary

They will assist with training on visualization tools and data loading tools for University Advancement employees. This position will manage incoming data requests on an internal and external level. The Data Analyst will also support data quality by supporting strategic data quality efforts, data augmentation and data maintenance projects.
Duties:
Manage, monitor and fulfill ad hoc data requests both internally and externally for informational and communication purposes
Interpret data, create visualizations for presentations, analyze results and create insightful reporting for Advancement departments
Collect data from internal, vendor and external sources and collate that information into precise visualizations in Tableau or other visualizations tools
Evaluate project requirements and provide appropriate periodic or real time solutions for end user analysis
Investigate and interpret trends and patterns and communicate those patterns to executive staff
Create and maintain reporting standard processes and documentation to ensure data relevance and timeliness of reporting
Maintain data quality standards with regular maintenance of existing databases and collection of new datasets and periodically eliminate obsolete data
Act as liaison between Advancement and vendors that provide database augmentation
Execute database augmentation projects
Work with management to prioritize projects and end user requirements
Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
Monitors maturity model for data integrity to provide constant improvement initiatives for the improvement of data quality
Tracks tasks and progress using task management tools
Perform other related duties as required or assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Blackbaud Fundraising Performance Management
Experience with Anthology/Imodules communications management
Experience with Ellucian Banner ERP and Banner Advancement Module
Background in data integrity or data governance models
Experience with data tools such as Tableau, Oracle Analytics Server, and Microsoft products
Experience managing a medium to large task list and meeting deadlines
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills; including communicating with technical and non-technical clients, and with clients and staff at all organizational levels
Customer service skills; including diplomatically, patiently, and successfully handling complaints, problems, questions, and suggestions
Ability to work with business data and mailing/communication data
