The Impact: Own the vision and strategy of a new data platform that will serve various businesses within S&P Global. This person will collaborate with internal stakeholders and technology partners to learn the domain and build and enhance this data platform. As a Technical Product Manager, you will play a critical role in setting priorities, creating a roadmap, and facilitating the successful implementation of the database. You will partner with the project Head of Technology, Architect, Product Owner, and IT Delivery Manager to ensure alignment and manage stakeholder expectations. Your ability to filter inputs-pushing back when necessary-and prioritize requests will be key in keeping the team focused on delivering impactful solutions.

Responsibilities:
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including cross-functional teams and business units, to understand their needs, translate them into technical solutions, and set expectations.
Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, managing their expectations regarding the roadmap, key deliverables, and timelines.
Set priorities, create a roadmap, and establish clear objectives for the technology team responsible for building and enhancing the data platform.
Mentor and manage a Product Owner, setting their priorities and connecting them with Subject Matter Experts and stakeholders who can provide input for database content and output requirements.
Partner with the project architect and head of technology to align technical decisions and ensure the scalability, reliability, and maintainability of the data platform.
Collaborate with the IT Delivery Manager to establish effective communication channels and ensure updates on new development and roadmap changes are effectively communicated to relevant parties.
Act as a liaison between stakeholders, the scrum team, and other cross-functional teams to share successes, facilitate collaboration, and resolve issues.
Conduct regular meetings and communication channels with stakeholders to gather feedback, address concerns, and maintain ongoing alignment.
Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to database management, data integration, and user experience.
Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and user feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and drive continuous enhancements to the data platform.
What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
At least 4-5 years of digital or technical workflow experience, as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or in a similar role, a plus if in a technical environment.
At least 3 years of Agile experience or a demonstrable understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar backlog management tools.
Familiarity with database concepts, data management, and technical product development processes.
Ability to break down technical issues into easily digestible data points for stakeholder consumption
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proactive and self-driven, with a passion for driving continuous improvement and delivering value to the organization.
Familiarity with project management tools and software development lifecycle methodologies.
Knowledge of database management, IT governance frameworks, data privacy regulations, and security best practices is a plus.

Compensation/Benefits Information:
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $70,300 - $170,400. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographical location as well as experience and qualifications for the role.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is not eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus or sales commission plan.
