The Vice Provost for Enrollment Management serves as the senior leader in the KCU Office of Admissions, and oversees the Director of Admissions. The Vice Provost designs strategy and assures execution on a wide-range of enrollment management functions and services, including but not limited to, all enrollment strategies and tactics for the College of Osteopathic Medicine, College of Biosciences (Master's in Biosciences and Doctor of Clinical Psychology), College of Dental Medicine, dual degree program recruitment, and other newly developed academic programs. In addition, the Vice Provost will oversee the Director of Admissions and take an active role in crafting a successful recruitment and admissions strategy. The Vice Provost will work directly with the Registrar and Director of Financial Aid for both the Kansas City and Joplin campuses.

Essential Duties:
Leads efforts to set and attain all enrollment management goals for the University.
- Develops strategies to successfully attract and recruit student candidates (utilizing analytical techniques, identifying appropriate student profiles, executing action plans, etc.).
- Develops and executes an outreach plan that supports achievement of enrollment goals (establishing and maintaining relationships with undergraduate programs, pre-med advisors, and other recruitment sources, conducting campus visits, participating in speaking engagements, attending career fairs, following up with sources after students commence, etc.).
- Oversees and/or initiates the development/production of student recruitment literature/media (determining needs, identifying content components, collaborating with Marketing, monitoring/reviewing form creation/revisions, etc.).
- Produces statistics on progress and results (collecting and maintaining statistical information, analyzing data, producing reports, evaluating outcomes, making recommendations, etc.).
- Achieves enrollment projections for all University colleges (monitoring activity, examining statistics, communicating results to superiors, making proposals to attain goals, etc.).
- Develops a plan to streamline all admissions processes to optimize user friendliness and to speed the entire admissions process
Works closely with University Relations to design and create all recruitment related protocols, communications, and social media as it relates to recruitment efforts.
- Ensures attainment of standards, protocols, and adherence to compliance requirements such as accreditation, federal regulations, and reporting rules.
- Ensures enhanced services through utilization of appropriate technology for student application, processing, and increases in enrollment. Conducts thorough and timely research and evaluation of electronic data processing as it relates to online applications, communications, matriculation, deposit payment, etc...
- Makes certain the University's web site is current and supportive of student recruitment by monitoring the web site, identifying improvements/enhancements, partnering with IT and University Relations to accomplish changes and updates, developing and submitting content, etc.
- Serves as lead on projects, writing policy, outlining procedures, developing action/execution plan, facilitating meetings, conducting training, disseminating information, etc.
Provides the day-to-day leadership over operations and the management of the admissions staff.
- Directs the Office of Admissions team.
- Effectively oversees the lifecycle of the student application through matriculation.
- Develops and maintains a schedule of operations, including the establishment of goals, instituting time tables, assuring deadlines and general obligations are met, monitoring activity, checking progress, making appropriate adjustments, etc.
- Cultivates and maintains external vendor affiliations and services.
- Facilitates the transfer of information to university departments including keeping the University's leadership apprised of Office of Admission goals and progress towards those goals.
Plays key role in designing and implementing the University application services for all academic programs.
- Designs and implements the marketing of the University's application to prospective students.
- Directs the processing of student applications for all programs.
- Facilitates the execution of Interview Days, including choosing interview dates, identifying and selecting candidates to invite, overseeing the implementation of logistics and communications for the Day, providing guidance/assistance in the assigning of interviewers, communicating with department heads and faculty, corresponding with student candidates, etc.
- Oversees and assists in responding to prospective student inquiries and needs including answering questions, monitoring distribution of forms, and providing information.
Qualifications:
- Graduate degree required, doctorate preferred, and 10 years of leadership experience in enrollment management work required
- The candidate must possess hands-on experience in designing successful recruitment and admissions strategies, excellent interpersonal skills, strong predictive data analytical skills, and verbal communication skills required to communicate key University messages to prospective students and parents
- Interested candidates should be able to balance multiple projects and priorities, while managing stressful deadlines, with a focus on positive results
- Knowledge of legal issues in enrollment management/higher education and a demonstrated commitment to advocating for diversity, inclusion, and multiculturalism are essential
- Analytical abilities required to assess situations and determine the best method of dealing with such issues based on University policies
