As a member of the Harvard Business School (HBS) Information Security team the IT Security Analyst is responsible for supporting security services both operationally in a customer-facing role and internally from an audit and analysis perspective. They will contribute to a wide array of operational support activities as well as project-based initiatives. They will work within HBS IT to monitor and improve the security of its Cloud infrastructure services.
Responsibilities:
Conduct data gathering/interviews in support of security events
Collect/aggregate with data collection/aggregation in support of ongoing audits
Engage in forensic and data analysis regarding information security threats to HBS
Prepare vulnerability/dashboard reporting for HBS IT Collaborate with HBS engineers to ensure systems and software are remediated of security vulnerabilities
Participate in key project initiatives to improve data protection audit processes
Complete other responsibilities as assigned
Basic Qualifications
Minimum of two years' post-secondary education or relevant work experience
Additional Qualifications and Skills
The following are preferred:
Knowledge of Windows and Mac endpoint operating systems
Working knowledge of Cloud security practices and tools
Knowledge of information security investigation processes
Strong attention to detail
Great collaboration skills
Working Conditions
Must participate in a shared 24x7x365 on call rotation with other IT staff; off-hours work will occasionally be required
Additional Information
This role is offered as a hybrid position (some combination of onsite and remote) where you are required to be onsite at our Boston, MA-based campus on a regular basis. Specific schedule will be determined between you and your manager.
