We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Industrial Control Systems (ICS) Cybersecurity Engineer to join our dynamic team in the power industry at our Springfield, MO headquarters. As an ICS Cybersecurity Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and reliability of our power generation systems. You will work on designing, implementing, and maintaining robust industrial control systems while implementing cybersecurity best practices to protect critical infrastructure. This position will support and provide technical input in the areas of risk management, asset management, identity management, vulnerability management, situational awareness, information sharing, incident response, supply chain management, workforce management and program management. All experience levels will be considered.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain industrial control systems for power generation facilities.
Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability assessments of industrial control systems.
Implement cybersecurity measures and best practices to safeguard critical infrastructure from cyber threats and attacks.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cybersecurity requirements into the design and implementation of control systems.
Monitor and analyze network traffic and system logs to detect and respond to cybersecurity incidents.
Support CIP and other compliance standards through industry cybersecurity best practices.
Perform regular security audits and penetration testing to identify and address vulnerabilities.
Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements related to industrial control system security.
Provide training and support to operational teams on industrial control system security best practices.
Participate in incident investigations and provide technical expertise in resolving cybersecurity incidents.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field or equivalent work and/or military experience.
Experience supporting cybersecurity for distributed control systems manufactured by ABB, Emerson Process, GE and Siemens-Westinghouse is preferred.
In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, methodologies, and best practices.
Experience in designing and implementing security solutions for industrial control systems.
Familiarity with industry standards and frameworks such as NERC CIP.
Proficiency in network protocols, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and security information and event management (SIEM) tools.
Experience with risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Working knowledge of OSI Soft PI.
