The Department of Informatics and Analytics at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is seeking a highly motivated Bioinformatics Software Engineer who is passionate about leveraging molecular data to advance clinical care for cancer patients and contribute to groundbreaking discoveries through genomic data integration and analysis. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on building a robust data pipeline framework for integrating diverse molecular genomics data into the DFCI enterprise molecular data mart. Additionally, the successful candidate will play a key role in an exciting initiative to develop a cutting-edge cloud-based bioinformatics analysis platform.

?? Bachelor???s degree required, MS preferred, in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Data Science, Computer Science, Software?? ?? Engineering, or related discipline.
?? Demonstrated proficiency with Python, Java, and/or other relevant languages.
?? Familiarity with molecular data formats (VCF, MAF, BAM, etc) and genomic analysis workflow standards and tools (WDL or CWL,?? ?? Cromwell, Nextflow).
?? Experience building data pipelines in cloud or hybrid environments.
?? Proficiency with Linux environments, shell scripting, and command-line tools.
?? Experience with software development and Agile processes is a strong plus.
?? Proficient working with SQL databases (SQL Server preferred).
Skills and Attributes:
?? Enthusiastic about data security, process automation, and innovation.
?? Familiarity with distributed code versioning tools such as Git, GitHub, Bitbucket.
?? Detail-oriented with the ability to gain a deep understanding of technical systems.
