This position is an integral member of the infrastructure team to ensure availability and integrity of physical/virtual servers, VDI, storage, backups, DR, and cloud services. Server Analysts will proactively perform capacity management, preventative maintenance, and upgrades/patches on Operating Systems and Applications to secure the Cooperative. Server Analysts will plan for and respond to outages and other critical events that affect availability of services.
Essential Job Functions
Responsible for the design, implementation, support, and ongoing management of server infrastructure including virtual server & VDI environments, storage, hypervisors, HCI's, and HA/disaster recovery infrastructure.
Collaborate with Enterprise Applications and other departments to design and establish server solutions and assess near and long-term capacity needs.
Takes ownership of proactively reviewing the utilization of compute/storage resources and making changes in a timely manner to ensure performance and availability.
Continuously evaluate corporate needs to determine when upgrades of equipment and/or services will be required while staying informed and evaluating the latest technologies for possible application within the Cooperative.
Responsible for the development, administration, and monitoring of all backup processes for servers including data for HQ/DR locations and Cloud storage services including Microsoft O365/SharePoint/OneDrive.
Ensure all necessary, non-critical/security updates and patches are implemented in a timely manner according to the pre-determined monthly maintenance window schedule and testing of Enterprise applications are documented after completion.
Assist Cyber Security Analyst in vulnerability remediation.
Manage authentication platforms of on-prem Active Directory Domain Services, Azure Active Directory, and DUO MFA.
Respond promptly to after-hours and weekend problems.
Administer Servers and increase task automation using PowerShell scripting
Administer Microsoft 365 organizational accounts based on principle of least privilege.
Support the Service Desk by providing 2nd level technical support and coordinating 3rd level technical support with vendors.
Participate in the Change Advisory Board (CAB)
Quickly analyze and resolve problems identified with server/storage systems, including arranging for repair for server and storage hardware failures.
Assist with administration & support PBX and voice messaging system
Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) systems of responsibility.
Automate and deploy software to servers and User PC's using Ivanti or equivalent tools.
Regular and predictable attendance
Assist IT Manager in planning and providing Disaster Recovery procedures for the servers and network systems.
Assist IT Manager in planning and budgeting for future needs of server and storage infrastructure.
Complete all assigned work in an accurate, timely, and efficient manner.
All other duties as assigned by IT Infrastructure Manager.
Position Requirements
Education Requirements-
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems related IT field or equivalent experience/training
Technical certifications and/or technical training (MCSE, MCSA, VCP, CISSP, etc.) in systems administration and cyber security preferred.
Experience-
Five (5) years of relevant systems administration experience preferred
Three (3) years of experience with VMWare (ESXi, vSAN, Horizon) and Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI)
Three (3) years of experience with data protection using Veeam, Dell/EMC Data Domain, and Microsoft 365 backup preferred
Knowledge of national and international regulatory compliances and frameworks such as the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, PCI, and NERC CIP

Must be able to cognitively understand, analyze, and interpret general mathematic properties (Ex: Add, Subtract, Multiply, Divide).

Must have and maintain a valid Texas State Driver's License, minimum Class C. If a valid Texas State Driver's License has not been obtained, then it must be acquired in a reasonable amount of time as specified by the cooperative.

IT Infrastructure Manager - Report to and carry out instructions.
District Managers / Staff Members - Work with cooperatively in providing resources to their department as approved by IT Manager.
