Provide analytics and compensation support in order to meet the staffing needs of the St. John Fisher community. This is a full-time position scheduled for thirty-five (35) hours per week; Monday-Friday from 8:30 am – 4:30 pm
Job Responsibilities:
Compensation Administration (50%):
Under the guidance of the AVP, Human Resources, serve as the lead for all University compensation studies data management, reporting, administration, and communications to Faculty and Staff employees
Assist in pricing and compensation reviews associated with any University team or department restructuring
Review positions and recommend appropriate compensation level within established guidelines
Provide classifications and recommendations on salary for new hires, job evaluations and promotions
Researches and analyzes competitive compensation practices in the job market; contributes to established compensation surveys and/or develops and implements custom surveys as appropriate.
Provide data for required surveys including, but not limited to, CUPA, IPEDS, AAUP
Ensure compliance with all federal and state wage and hour laws, including reporting requirements and NYS minimum wage schedules
Contribute to the design, development and implementation of compensation communication and training materials
Assists and collaborates, as appropriate, in the planning, coordination, facilitation, administration, and reporting of the annual salary review program for regular staff employees.
Employment Analytics (30%):
Collects and compiles HR metrics and data from a variety of sources including the human resource information system (HRIS) and payroll outputs, management and employee surveys, exit interviews, employment records, and other sources
Develop and manage standard monthly and ad-hoc reports, including but not limited to, recruitment, DEI, and employee retention
Identifies and recommends reasonable short- and long-term goals, milestones, and benchmarks for key performance metrics.
Prepares reports of data results, presenting and explaining findings to senior leadership.
Digitization of employee files
Update and manage organizational chart
Other duties as required
Talent Acquisition/Onboarding (20%):
Prepare offer letters and extend offers
Coordinate first day meetings and systems set up
Enter new hire information into HR Banner system
Manage the organization of personnel and staffing files following record retention guidelines, including I-9 forms
Administer the separation process, including benefit termination letters, internal and external notifications, coordination of the separation process and tracking
Education / Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Analytics or related field.
Two or more years' experience or equivalent highly desirable
Interest in pursuing an advanced degree desirable
