About the Position: Serve as a modeling, simulation, wargaming, and gaming expert and technical authority at the Command and General Staff College, responsible for the management and execution of the college wide Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Program. Provide support to classroom education using simulations and wargames, and teach graduate-level courses on the use and design of simulations and wargames.
As Simulation Specialist GS-0301-12, you will perform the following duties which is not an all-inclusive list:
Serve as faculty for simulation specific courses teaching a number of different simulations.
Mentor FA 57 students tasked with conducting exercises and/or completing simulation related course work.
Assist in the development and implementation of a plan for the integration of training models, simulations, wargames, and/or games in brigade, division, corps and theater level college instruction and exercises.
Recommend procedures for the use of Army Tng Sims, Joint DoD Sims; and COTS models/simulations/wargames, and games that might be designated for integration within the college to support CGSC curriculum development and execution.
Research and prepare simulation/gaming databases/scenarios to support specific exercises and curriculum for four school curriculums and six different educational tracks.
Exercise oversight for three or more modeling, simulation, wargame, and game support and/or development contracts.

Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance throughout the duration of employment
Temporary Duty (TDY), approximately 10% of the time
Must successfully Complete the Simulations Operations Course
