SOM Tech's digital fellowship supports skills and capability development in the lifecycle of digital product development from idea to design to secure development and support. The fellowship provides on-the-job training for established career paths and demonstrated needs at UCSF. Fellows will gain understanding of the breadth of work in UCSF's School of Medicine and explore the complex and unique academic health system environment.
At SOM Tech, you won't just sit back and observe. You'll participate in all team activities (like standups and planning meetings) and leave your mark on meaningful, complex projects. Over six months, you'll:
Contribute to at least three different project teams to solve digital-related challenges in the School of Medicine;
Solve security compliance challenges in support of our nascent Research Security Program;
Work side-by-side with experienced UX designers, business analysts, business process designers, scrum masters, developers, testers, and security analysts.
You'll have the full support of your manager and our tight-knit team. After six months, you and your manager will evaluate fit for a long-term role in SOM Tech or the broader school environment.
