Administers, directs and integrates the organization's networks in a multiple platform, protocol and operating system environment. Maintain network hardware and software. Monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users and perform necessary maintenance to support network availability
?? Maintain production application running in in RHV and VMWare environment.
?? Build, maintain, and scale infrastructure for Production, QA, and Dev environments
?? Develop a continuous integration and continuous delivery pipeline
?? Continue to evaluate new technologies and update/develop standard practices
?? Write and maintain infrastructure documentation
?? Assist development team in daily tasks by providing and configure application/software for multiple environments
?? Work with various infrastructure team within PHS and DFCI in completing various tasks toward the release of the application in a timely manner.
?? Provide and support the applications to enhance the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including Bamboo, Fisheye, Gitlab/Bitbucket/SVN and JIRA
?? Plans, coordinates, implements and supports the LAN/WAN hardware, software and Internet/Intranet/Extranet integration and linkage.
?? Works closely with scientific staff to anticipate and meet program requirements for computational infrastructure.
?? Ability to work closely and coordinate with network and administrative groups on multiple levels.
?? May research vendor products and negotiates hardware/software maintenance contracts. Recommends purchase, development or enhancement of network hardware, software and telecommunications.
?? Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations.
?? Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems, and replace defective components when necessary.
?? Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.
?? May be required to manage a Windows/Mac computer network of moderate size (100-200 devices).
?? May be a representative of the department with external institutes and user groups.
?? May be responsible for user training sessions, training materials and documents.
?? May write scripts to manage and streamline computing queues and develop/implement policies and quotas on centralized cluster storage.
?? Bachelors degree required, MS preferred in Computer Science or related field and 3-5 years relevant experience.
?? Experience with, but not limited to: Unix, HTTP, HTML, ATM, ARCNET, Tomcat, JBOSS, AWS, GCP, etc.
?? Strong interpersonal skills - ability to effectively interact with all levels of staff and external contacts.
?? Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills.
?? Experience managing high performance computer clusters and programming in a higher language such as CC, Java, PHP, Python) a plus.
