The Impact You'll Make in this Role
As a Supply Chain Analyst, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by
- Plan, schedule production work center, monitor work center output to meet customer requirements and improve work center operational efficiency
- Creating production and procurement schedules for area of responsibility
- Identifying and leading cross functional projects across the business to effectively drive improvements in service, cost, and inventory
- Utilizing Supply Chain tools, Lean Six Sigma methodologies, and processes to make data-driven decisions to improve service, inventory turns, and non-working inventory
- Providing a high degree of planning analysis to support decision making
- Actively partnering with plant/division BT team to implement changes related to ERP deployment
- Publish service and inventory metrics, results, and improvement plans
- Analyzing capacity to determine equipment loading and resources required
- Working closely with the business group to understand customer requirements and forecasts. Working closely with manufacturing to ensure alignment to business requirements by setting and maintaining target inventory levels and lead times
- Actively managing working and non-working inventories in assigned businesses to maintain compliance and achieve inventory investment target
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
- Experience in supply chain, planning, logistics, and/or manufacturing in a private, public, government or military environment
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Two (2) or more combined years of experience in supply chain, planning, logistics, and/or manufacturing in a private, public, government or military environment
- APICS CPIM certification or willingness to document plan to become certified
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Supply Chain, Operations Management, and/or Business Analytics from an accredited institution
- 3M systems experience (Factory Planner, IMES, Peoplesoft, ERP / SAP) & Business Transformation knowledge
- Experience utilizing Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
- History of successfully applying business knowledge to support business needs and goals
- Initiates, leads, and implements the process of supply chain problem identification and resolution
- Advanced Microsoft Suite skills
- Excellent written & oral communication skills, presentation skills, and interpersonal skills including the ability to influence others and work effectively in a team environment
- Business Transformation or SAP experience
Travel: May include up to 5% domestic travel
