The Role: Mobile Technical Lead

The Team: The team is responsible for building a platform that provider of information, benchmark prices, analytics and Essential Intelligence for the energy and commodities market products for S&P Global Commodity Insights.

The Impact: You will be making significant contribution in building solutions for the Mobile applications & Micro services. The work you do will deliver products to build solutions for S&P Global Platts customers.

Responsibilities:
- Work as a hands-on lead with strong mobile architecture and development experience in mobile native apps for entire software development lifecycle.
- Lead, build, test, and release mobile application features using React-Native.
- You will design and execute user-facing features for the native app on IOS & Android devices by leveraging mobile operating system frameworks for multi-threading, persisting data, and managing user experience and graphics across multiple screen sizes.
- Work closely with Product, Design, Platform, and other cross-functional groups to drive product vision.
- You will provide technical leadership, driving and performing best engineering practices to initiate, plan, and execute large-scale, cross-functional, and company-wise critical programs.
- You will identify, leverage, and successfully evangelize opportunities to improve engineering productivity.
- Explore and prototype new technologies to incorporate into the development effort.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's /Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent.
- A minimum of 8+ years of experience in software engineering & Architecture.
- 5+ years of experience including mobile architecture or technical leadership experience in designing and developing custom mobile solutions.
- At least 2+ years of hands-on experience in React-Native platform for the IOS/Android along with proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Proven experience integrating Native APIs with both Android and iOS platforms and using the mobile technology landscape including React Native, iOS (Swift, Objective C), Android (Android Framework, Java, Kotlin)
- Must possess good experience in creating, optimizing, integrating API calls and Familiarity with Restful APIs, Microservices, API design to connect mobile applications with back-end services.
- Able to demonstrate strong Object-oriented programming skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficient with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies like SAFe, Agile, Test- driven development.
- Excellent problem solving, analytical and technical troubleshooting skills.
- Able to work well individually and with a team. Good work ethic, self-starter, and results oriented.
- Excellent communication skills are essential, with strong verbal and writing proficiencies.
- Experience with Firebase, setting up Mobile CI/CD & applying/enforcing security standards.
- Having experience in API development and using Micro services architecture with technologies like .NET Core, C#, Restful API, PostgreSQL, SQL Server & No-SQL databases.
Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only):
S&P Global states that the anticipated minimum base salary for this position is $120,000+ in addition to bonus. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
