Senior Specialist, Data Engineer

The Impact You'll Make in this Role
As a Data Engineer Senior Specialist, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by supporting manufacturing locations globally by creating and supporting data reporting and analytics so users in various manufacturing roles can make optimal decisions.

• Act as data lead or Subject Matter Expert (SME) on global DAA and Data Insights reporting projects
• Lead developers and global process teams to identify key reporting enhancements to support standard work and help users take appropriate actions to address issues
• Collaborate with process leads to design and develop new reports to support existing work and to enhance reports as new SAP functionality is implemented
• Support plant deployments by creating new reports as needed for specific plant needs
• Ensure compliance with all enterprise data standards and assist users creating ad-hoc reports to follow correct data and reporting standards to comply with 3M data-sharing guidelines and data security

Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
• Ten (10) combined years experience in SAP data warehouse and BI Reporting and Analytics
• Five (5) years of experience creating SQL queries
• Two (2) years of experience with Cloud access and development for manufacturing reporting
• Five (5) years of experience with agile process and scrum development teams

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Two (2) years of experience with 3M legacy data systems such as GEDW and MES
• Five (5) years of experience with enterprise report development with minimally defined, complex requirements
• Working knowledge and understanding of Manufacturing and Supply Chain and business unit organizations

Travel: May include up to 5% domestic

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
