The Associate Athletic Director of Development (DOD) for Athletics will be responsible for raising philanthropic commitments within the division of Athletics reporting to the Senior Associate Athletic Director for External Relations.
The Associate Athletic Director of Development will provide strategic leadership when assessing giving priorities and matching them to potential prospects. Responsible for direct solicitation of major donor prospects, growing the pipeline of future donors and stewarding current donors.
Identify, cultivate, and solicit philanthropic gifts of $25,000 and greater from individuals, corporations and foundations to support students, faculty, programs, and departments within Athletics. Collaborate with University Relations and Development and the Provost's Office to identify divisional philanthropic priorities and create successful development strategies for each one. Collaborate with Athletic Administrators and Coaches in the implementation of the overall strategy for Athletics and university. Identify, recruit, and train volunteers to support the development programs within Athletics. Write such materials (e.g., case statement, prospectus, brochures, etc.) as are necessary for the fund-raising tasks of Athletics.

Education and Experience
Equivalent to a baccalaureate degree and 3 years of demonstrated successful fundraising experience required. Five years of progressively responsible related experience in athletic development and/or external functions with at least three years of executive-level experience in a comprehensive university or other large and complex organization preferred. Capital Campaign experience preferred. Experience with annual fund drives and/or major comprehensive fundraising campaigns. Major gift experience and success.
Valid California driver's license required.
Negotiable based on experience and track record of results.
