Job Description As a member of the Enterprise Analytics team supporting the Underwriting Computation Engine, you will be responsible to build and deliver an advanced data operation and data analytic solution to forecast profit and/or loss through automated modeling calculation, which will be part of an integrated ecosystem application. The ecosystem application is composed of three major section: UI, Computation Engine, and Data Preparation. Computation Engine team will take data feeds from the Data preparation team and process the data on Azure Databricks system to build and execute advance data modeling and calculation and publish the data output through Azure Function as microservice. The computation engine will be operating on a PySpark framework on top of Azure data bricks. The framework is developed according to the Strategy, Abstract, and Aspect Oriented design pattern to enforce standardization, code re-usability, and corporate level logging, tracking, and monitoring. We are seeking a senior application architect with solid application design and implementations skill and experience to build and maintain the backbone framework with sharable functions, and integrate the framework with different platform, such as Azure Databricks and/or GCP Dataproc. Your work will be reused and shared by many teams on different platforms. Job Functions â¢ Leading Application development team to build and maintain shareable backbone functions with PySpark library without platform dependency by using Python Language. â¢ Coordinate with platform provider team to integrate PySpark Framework with different processing platform, including Azure Databricks, GCP dataproc, and On-prem Spark environment. â¢ Coordinate with upstream and downstream systems and applications to build an efficient ecosystem and utilize multi-layered technical structure, including RDBMS, File system, Hive, Delta lake, Azure Data Lake, Azure Event Grid, Azure Function, Azure Event Hub, etc. â¢ Leading both Framework Backbone developers and Business logic Edge developers to integrate the business logic python program to be plug and play with PySpark Framework. â¢ Manage DevOps process to integrate the CI/CD pipeline through Jenkins, Gitlab, Nexus Repo, checkmarkrx to ensure development and deployment integration and quality control with automated testing and security governance. â¢ Publish data processing and modeling result/dataset to RDBMs on Azure SQL solution and generate microservice through restful Azure Function API. â¢ Manage and maintain the Data bricks job execution through Azure job scheduler and/or other orchestration tools. â¢ Manage Terraform based infrastructure as code for automatic environment provision to manage cloud environment focusing on Azure environment.
Required Qualifications â¢ 5+ years of professional, hands-on data management/operations and/or analytic experience â¢ 6+ years of professional, hands-on building enterprise level application with full stack experience including data preparation, data processing, data publication and consumption with UI and microservice. â¢ 3+ years of experience in building enterprise level solution on Azure cloud environment with Azure Function, Azure Databricks, Azure Event Hub, Azure Event Grid, Azure data lake, Azure Data factory â¢ 3+ year of experience on hands-on coding in python and/or pyspark on Azure Databricks environment
Preferred Qualifications â¢ Demonstrated experience interacting with and influencing decision-making by non-analytical business audiences â¢ Experience in DevOP CI/CD with gitlab, Jenkins, Nexus Repo, checkmarkrx, and or other quality control or security governance tools â¢ Certification in Azure, databricks, BigData, and/or other cloud solution.
Education Bachelor's degree in an analytics/computer science field required.
Master's Degree preferred
