The Impact You'll Make in this Role Customer Insights Specialist will be responsible for leading primary (qualitative, quantitative) and secondary research for priority market segments including scoping, development, execution, and overall project management of customer insights projects of increasing complexity, working with multiple businesses across HCBG As a Customer Insights Specialist in the Health Care Business Group (HCBG) Global Marketing Center, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. - Clearly scope research objectives, recommend a learning plan that addresses business gaps and/or opportunities to create value for the business
- Design questionnaires and discussion guides as needed. Participates in research conducted in-house and provides analysis, including detailed pattern analysis, statistical significance testing and data interpretation to drive storytelling
- Responsible for overall project management of assigned projects (timing, weekly project status reports, team communications, project database updates, ongoing communication with key business partners and other factors relevant to completion of the project) - attention to detail is critical
- Analyze data, presents and leverages insights for compelling recommendations to a variety of audiences, including both global business and technical functions, division leadership, etc.
- Aligns and collaborates with analytics, pricing, segment, and brand colleagues within the Global/Area Marketing Centers, as well as other functions within the business (marketing, lab, sales, manufacturing, design, etc.)
Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: - Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
- Five (5) years experience in market/customer research and/or analytics
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: - MBA or Master's degree from an accredited institution
- Experience conducting research in B2B industries
- Knowledge/experience with Decipher, SPSS, as well as Microsoft Office Suite
- A strong candidate will be a self-starter and demonstrate ability to pull together a clear story and offer actionable recommendations from a variety of data sources
- Strong interpersonal and consultative skills including exceptional problem-solving skills (both practical and non-traditional)
Location: This role would be located at the Corporate Headquarters in St. Paul, MN but we are open to remote work locations.
