The Impact You'll Make in this Role As a global portfolio manager, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
Portfolio Management: Closely work with multiple functions and other divisions within 3M to manage disposable and reusable respirator supply and allocations, drive hearing product development and geographic expansion, and manage our eyewear and general safety portfolio. Lead efforts around expanding our share outside of the US in the hardware, paint, and home center business. Leverage our eCommerce best practices to replicate in many other markets to drive the overall portfolio's growth.
New Product Introduction: Drive multiple new product introductions key to wowing our professional consumer, including NPIs around: hearing protection, disposable respirators, eyewear and other consumer safety solutions. Lead these projects with supporting effort from a cross-functional team. Navigate the at-times challenging and changing regulatory conditions in order to deliver on time and in full NPIs to our CHSD Area teams for their local execution.
Project Planning & Execution: Lead cross-functional team for NPI/PIPO SKUs identified by team relating to these projects. Serve as master data owner for portfolio changes in all systems to efficiently and effectively execute phase out, phase in of new product/packaging structure. Ensure artwork and digital assets are updated. Support forecasting and modeling of inventory and packaging components to ensure continuity of supply throughout POPI process. Supports demand and supply functions to ensure on-time delivery.
Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
Five (5) years of marketing experience in a private, public, government or military environment
Two (2) years of project management leading cross-functional teams
Two (2) years of new product introduction experience
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Two (2) years of experience in packaging design and branding
One (1) year experience with qualitative and quantitative consumer products research
Preferred candidates will have previous experience in professional safety and/or construction-like markets
Knowledge of computer programs and relevant corporate systems including PPC and SAP
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to apply data to drive strategy
Travel: May include up to25% international/domestic
Relocation Assistance: May be authorized
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
