The Air Force Cost Analysis Agency (AFCAA) is looking for talented analysts to develop independent cost estimates and conduct related analysis for the full range of major weapon system and software efforts acquired and maintained by the United States Air Force. Open positions are located in the following areas: 

Washington, D.C.

Los Angeles, CA

Eglin AFB, FL

Albuquerque, NM

Dayton, OH

Positions range from mid-level to senior analyst experience levels.

Responsibilities:

Analyst will be responsible for:

• Conducting analysis and developing methodologies to estimate the cost of large acquisition programs, typically in the hundreds of millions of dollars, to inform the DoD budget.
• Collecting cost, technical and programmatic data on major DoD systems.
• Planning and conducting research of considerable scope and complexity to aid in development of analytical methods and techniques necessary to improve the accuracy of cost estimates for future weapon and automated information systems.
• Presenting estimates and research to high ranking officials within the Air Force and the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD).

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of analytical experience, preferably in the DoD cost estimating field
• US citizen and existing or ability to obtain DoD security clearance
• At least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus.
• The ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Some travel may be required (less than 25%).

Salary:

$86K to $170K per year depending upon qualifications and position location
