As a Security Engineer based in Irvine or San Antonio, you will be a key member of the Security Engineering team, who will provide expertise in designing, engineering, and deploying security solutions in support of enterprise-level security initiatives. The Security Engineer requires technical expertise in designing and implementing secure enterprise level solutions, strong knowledge of security protocols and APIs, strong relationship and consulting skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work on multiple concurrent engagements.
Maintaining security standards across security capabilities (Identity and Access Management, Application Security, Data Security and Privacy, and Security Monitoring)
Leads and/or drives to the planning, requirements gathering, design, and engineering of security solutions across the risk and technology portfolio, working closely with architecture to develop technology roadmaps
Plays a leading role in designing implementation strategies for encryption of data and data privacy
Evaluates multiple hardware and software technologies designed to protect information
Knowledge and understanding on the creation/implementation of secure networks, firewalls and intrusion-detection systems
Understanding common network attacks, attack methods, and network defense architectures
Designing, developing, and implementing new security components and integrations for cross-ITG benefit
Providing awareness and education around technical techniques to address vulnerabilities
Providing techniques and patterns for securing integration with external vendors or cloud providers
Responding to complex security incidents and escalations, performing advanced analysis and troubleshooting, and resolving incidents
Work in a highly collaborative, agile environment
Support Vulnerability Management, Risk Management, and Access Management teams in providing stable security platforms for their work.
Understand compliance and regulatory impacts to CG's security posture, partner with risk teams to secure CG with technology solutions.
Experience with .NET and Java security development frameworks and knowledge of commonly used security protocols
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related fields.
Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Kornshell, or Powershell
Strong experience with secure coding and development practices
5+ years expertise with design, development, and deployment of complex highly available distributed .NET, java, or equivalent applications and integration solutions
Experience working with security protocols and standards like SAML, WS-Security, SSL/TLS, PKI
Strong OO design methodologies, patterns, best practices
Understanding of infrastructure technologies and deployment processes as they relate to middleware and security
Experience with .NET architecture (CLR, GC, and C# programming) or equivalent
Prior experience with C++ development a plus
Demonstrated ability to estimate, plan, lead and execute complex technical projects
Experience with Privileged Access Management technologies such as CyberArk preferred
Experience with Data Loss Prevention solutions preferred
Experience with SIEM/Splunk, Tableau and behavioral analytics a plus
Experience with Agile projects a plus
