The Analytics Consultant 4 position reports to the Managing Director of Equity Trading within the Wealth Investment Management (WIM) Capital Markets Trading department. The WIM Capital Markets Trading group is comprised of Equity, Fixed Income and Derivative Trading for Wells Fargo Clearing Services. The Analytics Consultant is responsible for complex data analysis across multiple sources, delivering actionable insights, reports, and recommendations that inform business decisions and drive measurable results. Analysis will primarily focus on root cause analysis, efficiencies, delivering faster better products for customers and stronger risk controls. Primary deliverables and responsibilities: - Perform complex analysis to solve difficult business problems related to equity trading and brokerage operations
- Source, extract and manipulate data (SQL) from multiple data sources, including the Operational Data Store (ODS) and Brokerage Data Warehouse (BDW)
- Engage with business partners within Capital Markets as well as those across the Wells Fargo Advisors (WFA) and WIM businesses
- Execute on the full life-cycle of meeting with business partners, project management, understanding where and how to find and extract data for analysis, problem solving skills, utilizes analytical approaches, presentation of complex data
- Collaborate with other analytical resources across the business to meet partner needs
- Ensure integrity of analyses through rigorous attention to detail and validation of data including adherence to all compliance and security procedures
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling demonstrated through work or military experience; or a Masters degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis and 4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling

- Data warehouse experience
- SQL experience
- Ability to translate and summarize complex data into understandable, actionable information and recommendations
- Operations or trading experience in Capital Markets
- Equity markets experience
