The Wealth Investments application delivery team within the Wealth & Investment Management Technology (WIMT) group is looking for a Java Developer to develop and support custom securities trading and analytic solutions. The role will be responsible for the design/development/maintenance of new and existing system solutions for our Investment Management and Trading platform and surrounding applications. The primary focus of this position will be to continue the development of our near real-time integration layer, utilizing Java-based Web Services, JMS and high performance messaging technologies in order to ensure seamless trade processing. Some front-end development utilizing Angular also falls within scope of the team.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of software engineering experience
- 5+ years of Java experience
- 3 + years of experience supporting or designing high priority enterprise technology solutions
- 3+ years of Object Oriented experience
- 3+ years of JavaEE experience
- 2 + years of Java Web Services experience
- 2+ years of JMS (Java Message Service) experience
- 2+ years of trading systems development or implementation experience
- A BS/BA degree or higher
Desired Qualifications
- An industry-standard technology certification
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Knowledge and understanding of technical documentation: impact analysis, detailed designs and unit test plans
- Knowledge and understanding of static code review
- Knowledge and understanding of test driven application development
- Knowledge and understanding of technology code: repository utilization and management in support of engineering practices
- 1+ years of experience developing Single Page Architecture (SPA) web application using ASP.NET MVC, Knockout, Javascript, or JQuery, or with frameworks such as Angular.JS or HTML 5
- Experience developing, supporting or integrating messaging technology such as Solace, Tibco or MQ
- Knowledge and understanding of Oracle
- Knowledge and understanding of SOA (Services Oriented Architecture)
- 2+ years of wealth or investment management experience
- Knowledge and understanding of investment, investment management, securities markets, trading, and model based portfolio management
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
