This position will support the Cyber Security Defense & Monitoring organization. We are looking for an information security senior engineer to assist with design and development of automated frameworks used to manage multiple data pipelines in support of multiple information use cases. The ideal candidate will have hands on experience building data pipelines using Java, Python, and Spark – as well as experiencing managing data in HDFS, Hive, Solr, and Hbase. Experience working with multiple on premise Hadoop distributions is preferred (Hortonworks, Cloudera, MapR). Candidates should have a strong understanding of cluster technologies and clustered services. Experience working directly with information security datasets, metrics, and reporting is preferred.  

Responsibilities:

• Build and support custom automated data pipelines
• Build and support frameworks for information security reporting and metrics
• Perform security peer reviews and code reviews and coach development teams on framework usage
• Consult with development teams to provide recommendations
• Partner with development teams to deliver solutions for specific big data use cases
• Provide recommendations and guidelines regarding the usage of the information security data platform

• 7+ years of information security applications and systems experience
• 6+ years of information technology applications and systems experience
• 7+ years of Java experience
• 5+ years of Hadoop experience
• 5+ years of Python experience
• 4+ years of Hadoop experience with Spark
• 2+ years of PySpark experience
• 5+ years of experience delivering ETL, data warehouse and data analytics capabilities on big-data architecture such as Hadoop
• 5+ years of database experience in any two of the following platforms: Informix, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Progress, Couchbase or Hadoop
• 2+ years of MS SQL server experience
• 4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: data management, metrics & business intelligence, data warehouse
• 5+ years of secure SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) methodologies experience
• 4+ years of GitHub experience

• BS/BA in computer science, applied statistics, quantitative economics, operations research or a related field
• Leadership skills including; coaching, training, and mentoring
• Knowledge and understanding of Tableau

• 3+ years of Solr experience in Hadoop
• 3+ years of Hbase experience in Hadoop
• Experience with Arcadia Data or similar big data visualization tools
• Experience with multiple Hadoop distributions, especially Hortonworks and Cloudera
• Previous experience at Wells Fargo preferred
