Wells Fargo Technology is looking for an Engineering Manager with a specialty in Capital Markets Technology. This role is for Regulatory and Operations division of Capital Markets Technology. The candidate will take lead in the build out and support of applications and platform within a heavily regulated environment, working across multiple products lines. Candidates should have Back office functionality for Cash and Derivative Products with good understanding on Securities Processing, Settlements, Confirmations, Regulatory Reporting and have the ability to work with Vendor products / platforms like GMI/Broadridge/Recon platforms/Rule Engines. The candidate is expected to: - Lead an agile engineering team of highly skilled technologists supporting solutions and development across multiple product or capability domains, including at least one specialty/niche domain.
- Partner with business product managers, lead systems and senior engineers to develop product functional and technical strategy for the domain(s), including development of actionable short and long-term product road-maps and shaping prioritized features.
- Oversee engineering teams to deliver commitments aligned to strategic product priorities.
- Mentor and guide the professional and technical development of senior engineers and lower level engineering managers and assists in hiring top engineering talent.
- Collaborate within and across agile teams to design, test, implement, and support technical solutions in full-stack development tools and methodologies.
- Ensure the craftsmanship, security, availability, resilience, and scalability of solutions developed by the teams or third party providers.
- Support implementation of solutions spanning multiple teams for multiple product or capability domains.
- Partners with product managers to drive business outcomes.
- Ensure compliance and risk management requirements for supported area are met.
- Ensures that key areas of technology risk including security, stability, and scalability are addressed in products and capabilities within the domain(s).
- Interface with third party vendors and technology service providers.
- May engage in external communities to support recruiting and development.
They will work on UI, reporting and post trade activity. The role calls for senior Technology Manager and highest technical expert playing the lead role in the development efforts for the internal and vendor deployed application systems that manage and facilitate trading activities for a major functional and/or product area within the securities businesses. Generates application engineering policies, standards and procedures. Lead, design, develop, test and implement the most complex design requirements, application systems components, tools and utilities, including the most complex modeling, simulation, and analytic development efforts. Plan, perform and resolve escalated platform coding and testing issues of a technically challenging nature. Responsible for defining opportunities across IT to maximize assets and improve processes while reducing cost. Ensures that system improvements are monitored to increase efficiency. Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of technology engineering experience
- 4+ years of leadership and people management experience in a technology environment
- 10+ years of application development experience
- 5+ years of corporate and investment banking industry experience
- 10 + years of .Net and Java application development experience or a combination of both
- 10+ years of relational database experience
- 7+ years of compliance and regulatory systems experience
- 5+ years of reporting experience
- 5+ years of capital markets experience
Desired Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience with Agile practices
- 5+ years of experience in an industry-standard programming language
- 4+ years of Build and CICD technologies experience
- 2+ years of experience with Cloud technologies
- Highly refined and professional verbal and written communications
- 7+ years of experience supporting technology in a regulated environment
- 5+ years of JavaScript development experience
- 3+ years of Python experience
- Ability to design, develop, and implement large scale/complex software applications
Other Desired Qualifications
- Basic knowledge and understanding of mathematical modeling
- Basic knowledge and understanding of SEC, FNRA, and international regulations for building technological solutions
