We are seeking a business risk and control associate to join our Technology Control Business Execution team. This is a strategic position that will engage with multiple risk and control stakeholders / lines of defense across Wells Fargo Technology to enable strong risk management and control practices and capabilities. Areas of focus include, but are not limited to: policy execution, risk scenario analysis for emerging risks, and support facilitation of key Technology Control initiatives.
As part of the Front Line Control Unit, this role provides support to ensure that Technology Control Business Execution efforts are completed on time and with quality. This role will support the following processes in the group by partnering with more senior members of the team: Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR) program support, remediation program efforts, and collaboration improvements for Technology Control.
Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Support key remediation and transformation efforts as they impact Technology Control by completing reporting and coordinating sustainability artifact reviews and maintenance.
Support key initiatives to meet organizational objectives and strategic goals.
Partnering with Divisional Control teams for completion of deliverables around collaboration and workflow.
2+ years of experience in risk (includes compliance, financial crimes, operational risk, audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, IT systems security, business process management demonstrated through work or military) or 1+ year in the foregoing or financial services industry and a BS/BA degree or higher in business or a related field
Ability to interact with integrity and a high level of professionalism with all levels of team members and management
Project management experience
Experience communicating with business partners and project managers
Advanced Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, LiveMeeting and SharePoint) skills
Experience communicating in both written and verbal formats with senior executive-level leaders
Good analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Other Desired Qualifications
Strong risk and control fundamentals, knowledge of frameworks and methodologies, common implementation challenges
Experience in evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of policies, procedures and controls.
Demonstrated experience with both strategic and tactical approaches to risk management.
2+ years' experience within a Technology business group with demonstrated knowledge of technology systems, applications, infrastructure and emerging technology and associated risks in a business environment
Background in COBIT 5, ITIL, Information Technology Strategy and Information Technology Process Improvements.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent; regulatory experience a plus
Professional certifications such as CSCP, CRCM, CGEIT, CRISC, CITP, CISA, CISSP, CIA a plus
