The Wells Fargo Auto's Third Party Operational Review Program (Program) is seeking an Operational Risk Consultant to join the team and help develop and maintain a strong operational excellence culture. Wells Fargo Auto Business Excellence team has established a Third Party Risk Management Operational Review Program which provides robust control monitoring and oversight of Third Parties (TP) by identifying TP controls, control evaluation, and testing of TP controls during onsite and virtual reviews. This Program assists Wells Fargo Auto in meeting the requirements of the enterprise Third Party Program (TPP). The successful candidate will have experience in both risk and business support. Experience with managing TP relationships, including identifying and evaluating key TP controls, is a critical component to understanding how to apply risk principals to the management of these relationships. This position will play a key role in the Program as it requires collaboration across Third Party Management, Business Owner, Engagement Manager, TP, and various stakeholders (e.g. Compliance, Independent Risk Management and the Business Aligned Control Group, etc.) related to execution of various initiatives to drive for continued results of the Program. Additionally, this position will be responsible for performing key Program activities and ensuring Engagement Management team adherence to internal Auto specific procedures. Specific Job Responsibilities include: - Execution of annual planning to identify category/third party Auto Program applicability
- Manage annual category recertification activities by maintaining business models, failure modes & affects analysis, and Third Party Oversight Plans (as applicable) includes completing required documentation and obtaining approvals.
- Develop and maintain Third Party Oversight Plan validation process to ensure all monitoring and oversight activities identified are being performed and address documented third party risks.
- Influence Engagement Management Team and Front Line Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) as applicable to resolve issues and strengthen internal controls.
- Provide Auto Program oversight by monitoring the Operational Review Schedule to ensure timely completion of onsite and virtual reviews along with trailing activities.
- Manage and execute Quality Assurance reviews for each third party Operational Review completed by the Engagement Management Team.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in compliance, operational risk management (includes audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, or the management of a process or business with accountability for compliance or operational risk), or a combination of both demonstrated through work or military experience; or 6+ years of IT systems security, business process management or financial services industry experience, of which 3+ years must include direct experience in compliance, operational risk management, or a combination of both
