This role is for support of the Consumer Small Business Banking Technology – Technology Compliance Program TIM. The Tech Bus Services Sr Associate will play a critical role in delivering technology cultural transformation, such as eliminating technical debt, and driving change across the Consumer Small Business Banking Technology and Enterprise Technology so that we have efficient, effective, compliant, and sustainable processes. Strong leadership will be required in defining overall strategy, design, and implementation of large cross functional technology initiatives, as well as continuing to improve processes over the sustainment lifecycle. A strong focus on ensuring 100% of Consumer Small Business Banking Technology's regulatory requirements are met, reducing risk, and ensuring we continue to meet our resiliency targets is fundamental to this position. The Tech Bus Services Sr Associate is senior leader who must work well with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment. Superior relationship building skills with the ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization is crucial. Key to the success of these positions are influence skills across all organizational levels and developing partnerships and working collaboratively with enterprise technology partners. Responsibilities include:
Provide thought-leadership and expertise to formulate and execute on major IT compliance strategies, processes, or on-going initiatives with broad cross-technology impact.
Establish strong relationships with Initiative leaders, internal and external partners, and senior executives across technology and the business to execute enterprise objectives and gain organizational alignment.
Drive daily progress and engagement across the Consumer and Small Business Banking Technology team and the Enterprise teams, and informing Group CIO and the leadership team of initiative status.
Engage with the Enterprise Compliance, Risk and Control team to influence and ensure clear actionable direction on technology initiatives for solution design, policy implementation, scope, and timelines.
Coordinate and execute with a focus on expected outcomes and timelines, to quickly resolve conflicts across the initiatives and establish clear prioritization.
Partner with leadership across the Enterprise to define and drive data sources/metrics that are easily consumable for an executive audience, while ensuring data sources/metrics of a more detailed nature are available.
Senior individual contributor or manager accountable for managing and influencing results through matrix management or contractor/vendor management or through direct reports, if any.
Self-driven and motivated individual to work with application teams (Vulnerability Central and Asset Class Owners) to ensure that the installation instructions are clear, software packages are available for CSBBT.
Resolve technical middleware issues reported by the application teams.
Oversee middleware patching which is done monthly, and address any vulnerabilities. Take ownership of issues and resolve to completion.
Act as an SME for all middleware sustainability initiatives, remediating configuration issues with middleware products like Apache Tomcat, MQ, Apache HTTPD, WebLogic, IBM WebSphere, and Microsoft IIS.
Act as an internal consultant regarding use of tools and process re-engineering.
5+ years of technology experience
5 + years of experience developing or supporting IT Service Management solutions (e.g. Incident Management, Change Management, Asset Management and Configuration Management)
4+ years of leadership experience
4+ years of experience creating and implementing strategic plans and roadmaps at the executive level for enterprise wide business initiatives
6+ months of experience communicating system vulnerabilities and remediation guidance to both technical and non-technical personnel
6+ months of experience in one or a combination of the following: Safety and Soundness initiatives, iTracker, SDLC Tracker, SD (Secure Development), Elements or AMCT (Application Maintenance Calendaring Tool)
6+ months experience managing vulnerabilities at Wells Fargo for the Consumer and Small Business Banking Technology (CSBBT) LOB
Experience managing medium technology development efforts within a major line of business
Ability to influence across all organizational levels, particularly senior management
Advanced understanding of IT industry frameworks including ITIL, IT4IT, COBIT
Strong relationship management skills
Business consultation experience in defining key performance metrics, dashboards, or scorecards
Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills with ability to turn findings into strategic imperatives
