This is the engineering position for the scrum team who will be working directly with the Product Owner and LOB partners and other technical/business teams in the US time zone, providing guidance/technical assistance to other scrum team members in the US/WFIP for API design/development, technical analysis and documentation, and also help with test automation (TDD/BDD) etc. Provides technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet business requirements.
Works with partners and clients groups to resolve questions, assess and document user needs, and recommend changes for RISE development team. Prepares specifications for system changes and work with RISE development team in a squad to design, develop and deploy integration solution accordingly.
Will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:
Understand overall business function and technical architecture
Work with other SMEs, architects, analysts and other project team members
Good design and test automation knowledge (SOAP/RESTful )
Participate in all phases of the SDLC including documentation, code reviews, research and production support
Lead and direct junior team members as required.
5+ years of software engineering experience
5 + years of J2EE experience
7+ years of Java experience
5+ years of RESTful or SOAP web services
3+ years of microservices development experience
2+ years of DataPower experience
An industry-standard technology certification
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Experience supporting or directing offshore teams
Experience operating effectively in a geographically dispersed organization
A BS/BA degree or higher in science or technology
Other Desired Qualifications
Knowledge and understanding of Micro-services architecture, framework and design patterns
Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex technical problems
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
Position Hours: Monday - Friday (as early as 7 am and as late as 6 pm ).
Flexibility to work in a 24/7 environment, including weekends and holidays
Flexibility to address incidents as needed 24 hours a day
