Wells Fargo's Institutional Retirement and Trust (IRT) business was purchased by Principal Financial Group (PFG), a provider of retirement, investments, and insurance products and services. The sale was announced in April, 2019, and the transition of in scope team members and clients is expected to be completed by mid-2021. Wells Fargo is committed to supporting the IRT business throughout the transition period and this in scope role will eventually transition over to PFG.
IRT is seeking a qualified candidate for the Client Service Consultant 1 position responsible for supporting internal and external customers by providing support services in account management, operations, documentation, and customer service. Duties include:
Act as main point of client contact for a book of Wells Fargo IRT Trust and Custody relationships
Assist internal and external clients as well as third parties with all aspects of account maintenance including cash management, online access, security trading, asset reporting and question and issue resolution
Develop and assist with projects that support IRT business initiatives
Continuously track and monitor investment portfolios for compliance, position, documentation exceptions, overdrafts, accounting, report maintenance, pricing and delinquencies
Provide technical support and training for client users of Wells Fargo web applications and products
Identify and implement improvements to IRT Service Center documentation and procedures
Analyze business issues to create operational efficiencies
Partner with internal operations groups to execute client directed transactions timely and accurately
2+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: client services, financial services, or call center, demonstrated through work, military, or education
Ability to work in a fast-paced action oriented environment
Effective organizational, multi tasking, and prioritizing skills
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to understand client concerns, questions, and problems then identify appropriate solutions
Basic Microsoft Office skills
Ability to navigate multiple computer systems, applications, and utilize search tools to find information
Strong project management skills
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Exposure to Wells Fargo SEI Trust 3000 Wells Fargo Trust Accounting system of record
An AA/AS degree or higher in accounting, finance, or economics
Knowledge and understanding of securities industry and securities processing/operations
Retirement services experience
Ability to work in a fast paced deadline driven environment
Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment
Ability to develop and manage client relationships
Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
Solid problem solving skills
Ability to travel up to 5% of the time
