We are seeking an IT Security Analyst in our Maple Grove, MN location. This opportunity will be responsible for ensuring availability, integrity, and confidentiality of the enterprise infrastructure and operating environments by monitoring and analyzing cyber security threats using tools for detecting and responding to security events.
Acting as a central point of contact for responding to and coordinating recovery to events related to cyber security incidents or suspicious activity.Providing recommendations and implementing advancements to security operations and minimizing service disruptions.
Developing and providing stakeholders with regular KPI reports on cyber security incidents, suspicious activities, and internal and eternal security threats to the enterprise infrastructure and operating environments.
Creating requirements for enforcing security best practices through people, process and tools with integration into existing IT operational processes.
Partnering with others throughout the organization to foster our security culture and continuous program improvement.
Bachelor’s degree in a technology or security related field and at least 2-3 years’ experience in an IT security or operations role OR 2 plus years post high school education in a technology or security related field and 4 plus years’ experience building and supporting security applications and infrastructure.
Experience with enterprise class security tools required including the following: Tripwire, Splunk, Nessus, and intrusion and anomaly detection tools. Experience analyzing data output, tuning, and updating whitelists to keep the tools current and output relevant.
Ability to prioritize multiple demands based on business impact and remain calm in high-pressure environment.
Stellar written and verbal communication skills. Experience creating standard operation procedures, process documentation, and translating technical security issues into business risk.
Proven problem analysis and incident response/management skills; ability to make appropriate decisions crossing multiple disciplines; appropriately escalates issues to higher levels.
Advanced knowledge of and skill in vulnerability management concepts, intrusion prevention/detection methodologies, network forensics, and security monitoring tools.
Skill in accomplishing work through others using collaboration and negotiation.
