What you will be doing:
Specialist Information Security Analyst - Phishing Testing & Cyber Awareness The BNY Mellon Wargames,Awareness, and Global Engagement (WAGE) team, as a part of the InformationSecurity Division (ISD), supports BNY Mellon's global operations. The WAGE teamis responsible for fostering a security-aware culture across the organizationvia multiple channels, including experiential trainings (Wargames), awarenesspublications and presentations, and phishing email testing. Position Overview A successfulcandidate will be able to support planning, coordination, the operations of thebank's Global Anti-Phishing Program (GAPP) and support the activities of theoverall Global Information Security Awareness program. Position Description Wargames : This person should be prepared to helping grow a cybersecurity exercise program that includes the planning and execution of Information Security Division-hosted exercises (both tabletop wargames and technical drills) as well as participation in client exercises, market-wide exercises, and other BNY Mellon organizations' exercises. Specifically:
Help coordinate tasks related to the analysis,planning, execution, and reporting phases of the GAPP
Communicate with stakeholders on the scheduling,testing, and execution of planned simulations
Perform data analysis on simulation results and examinetrends
Prepare and distribute data-driven reports forvarious audiences, including senior management, with supervision
Manage post-phishing test communications, withsupervision
Deliver behavior-focused awareness presentationsto staff in person or online
Research, analyze, and develop creative awarenessmaterials based on current threats and best practices
Maintains the effectiveness of enterprise-wide information security strategy including related programs, processes and initiatives
May allocate/coordinate work within a team/project
Assists in the development, implementation and enforcement of corporate-wide security policies, procedures and standards
Assists in consulting with the business and operational infrastructure personnel regarding new and existing technologies and appropriate security architectures, practices and procedures
Reviews and analyzes more complex data and information to provide insights, conclusions and actionable recommendations produces advanced reports, analyses, findings, etc.
Works closely with IT infrastructure and software engineering applications development to ensure integrity of security procedures, systems, and policies
Works with developers to ensure proper completion of all risk assessments within policy and procedures
Contributes to the achievement of related teams' objectives
Qualifications Who we are looking for:
Passion for cybersecurity!
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required
6-8 years of experience in information security or related technology experience required
Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus
2-4 years of experience in the field ofinformation security, cybersecurity, academia, consulting, or intelligence
Basic understanding of cybersecurityfundamentals to enable collaboration with subject matter experts todevise, develop and implement realistic phishing testing scenarios
Industry certifications such as CSX, CISM, orCompTIA Security+ a plus
Excellent verbal and written communicationskills
Experience with presenting information securitytopics in person and/or online
Capable of self-sufficient and self-motivatedwork ensuring both high-quality and timely delivery of finished products
Interest in preparing and analyzing large datasets, as well as reporting and presenting data takeaways for management andexecutives
Interest in learning phishing simulation tools
Understanding of the BNY Mellon organizationpreferred
Digital design skills preferred
