Join a dynamic, high-performing team using your strong data analytics skills in an industry-leading counterparty risk/client management function. We are looking for a senior Consumer Credit Officer to apply keen insights to enhance client risk identification and relationship decision making.
This senior data analytics functional lead position provides key, foundational decisioning information for counterparty risk management mitigation actions. This role provides credit analytics and modeling support on a client base of 875 correspondent seller counterparties by executing, maintaining, refining, and documenting a complex, multi-component seller monitoring model. This position also will provide recurring and ad-hoc analyses to aid in root cause discovery, loan/portfolio performance monitoring, and identification of excessive risk.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Performing complex credit risk data queries to identify risk trends and drivers
Providing analytical and counterparty credit decisioning support for WFHL Correspondent and other internal support and oversight partners, including internal auditors and external regulators
Managing the design and quarterly execution of a multi-faceted risk monitoring model (the Correspondent Seller Review Model - CSRM); model components are executed in both SAS and MS Access environment
Executing and maintaining all supporting model documentation, including:
Validation procedures to ensure accuracy
Change management documentation procedures to ensure all changes are understood, approved, and tested prior to implementation
Consulting with Home Lending/Independent Risk Management leadership regarding changes and improvements
Managing preparation and distribution of a large set of recurring and ad-hoc analyses and reports (daily, weekly, monthly)
7+ years of experience in risk role
5+ years of experience with SAS or SQL, or other data management, reporting and query tools
A BS/BA degree or higher in a quantitative discipline
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Solid critical thinking skills
Advanced Microsoft Office skills
Other Desired Qualifications
5+ years experience in credit modeling, credit portfolio performance analysis, or credit risk analytics management
Ability to analyze large complex data sets and estimation models to determine trends and root cause
Experience developing robust data controls/documentation/procedures/processes to ensure data alignment, consistency, and integrity
Ability to think independently and creatively find innovative solutions to complex analytical questions
Demonstrated experience telling stories with data to both technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to articulate conclusions clearly and concisely, both visually and verbally
Ability to analyze and interpret financial data
Ability to make accurate credit and counterparty risk decisions
Experience developing partnerships and collaborating with business and functional areas
Strong willingness to engage in a continuous learning environment through data and analytics
