The Senior Windows Security Specialist will provide subject matter expertise as it relates to formulating process and oversight for hardening the various versions of the Windows Operating Systems platforms across the globe (Servers and Workstations). The Specialist will also develop and implement a process for continuous Windows security assessments and provide consultation expertise during the remediation process and mitigation efforts. The Specialist will also support various penetration tests and Red Team exercises. The Specialist will also help enhance several Critical Security Controls (SANS Top 20). This role requires advanced analytical and communication skills in order to efficiently interact with global stakeholders and drive effective remediation across the organization.
Help enhance and maintain current Windows hardening standards for servers and workstations
Continuously assess the Windows environment’s security posture using various tools and methodologies
Run various assessment tools to obtain insight on security posture and create various reports for management and stakeholders. Support penetration testing and Red Team activities and exercises
Support the implementation and maintenance of technical security standards for MetLife Windows technologies in accordance with industry best practices
Provide remediation consultation to global teams to support enterprise risk reduction efforts
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Candidate must have 5+ years of combined IT and security related work experience
Familiar with various infrastructure assessment tools
Familiar with vulnerability management best practices and control standards
Possess strong communication skills and be able to document and explain technical details clearly and concisely. Strong understanding of key Windows security controls and technologies
Demonstrate an understanding of business processes, internal control risk management, IT controls and related standards
Ability to perform basic scripting to analyze and automate repeatable processes (e.g. Python, Perl, Ruby, PowerShell, REST API)
Relevant industry certifications such as MCSE, GCWN, GPEN, CISSP, CISM, CCNA, Security+, GIAC, PMP, LEAN and Six Sigma are desired
