Description: Independently and collaboratively, use modeling and simulation tools to support the exploration and assessment of National Guard capabilities, processes, and capacities pertaining to homeland defense (HD), and domestic civil support (CS) operations. Advise the client on the further development and modification of the National Guard Bureau (NGB) modeling & simulation program. Assist the NGB in developing and enhancing relationships with other modeling & simulation programs in DoD, the interagency, and academia.
Develop and conduct demonstrations, models & simulations in support of National Guard operations research & systems analyses, capabilities-based planning, and wargame development.
Advise the National Guard Bureau (NGB) on the further development of a robust and tailored Modeling & Simulation program.
Support research and analyses of National Guard (NG) capabilities, capacities, plans, and policies.
Coordinate and develop relationships with other members of the modeling and simulation community throughout DoD, the interagency, and academia.
Inform and advise the National Guard Bureau on emerging M&S techniques and technologies.
Assist with the development of National Guard wargames, as needed, to enhance understanding and participant immersion in the game play.
Occasional domestic travel to exercises, experiments, conferences, workshops, wargames, and/or meetings may be required.
