Office of the Provost/Center for Analytics and Data Science: Associate Director of Analytics Training: The Center for Analytics and Data Science (CADS) is a university-wide initiative, providing an innovative environment where students, faculty and external partners can embrace the application of analytics and data science; engage in research that transforms the practice of analytics and data science; receive support in developing their analytical skills; and find opportunities to elevate their understanding through research, coursework, collaboration and experiential learning.
The Associate Director of Analytics Training for CADS will be responsible for fostering partnerships with organizations requiring analytics and data science training of their workforce, developing an analytics and data science training module catalogue, building the analytics and data science training content and assessments, and facilitation of the analytics and data science training modules.
Foster Corporate Partnerships
Develop relationships with corporate partners - actively seek insight into the analytic training needs of current CADS sponsors
Develop a CADS presence at the Miami VOA campus - identify opportunities to collaborate with the Executive Education program
Drive revenue for CADS - Recruit a pipeline of new corporate partners – ability to speak fluently about the CADS mission of developing data fluency and quantitative skills in the incumbent workforce
Development of Training Modules
Assessment of market to understand training needs - research analytic and data science trends in the industry, interview partners to identify training needs/goals
Develop training modules - create training modules that meet the needs of our corporate partners, meeting all deadlines and keeping within budget; modules should be designed to be facilitated both in person and online; first set of modules to be created will be Introductory sessions for Statistics and Data Science Techniques
Create post module assessment - collect feedback on how best to refine and adapt the training modules to ensure that we are meeting our corporate partners’ needs
Monitor budget forecast and provide updates to the Director of CADS on progress towards goals
Facilitation of Training Modules
Deliver training modules - travel may be required as facilitation of training program may occur at a corporate sponsors site; requires working with corporate partners to ensure location for delivering training has been secured, snacks/meals have been ordered, and any training materials have been prepared for each session
Develop training calendar
Require: Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Analytics, Data Science, or equivalent) or a Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of work experience related to analytics or data science; experience working with and developing code using open source programming languages; outstanding written and oral communication skills; ability to adapt within an entrepreneurial start-up environment; high level of initiative and willingness to work independently; willingness to work outside of normal business hours if required; occasional travel may be required. This position is available to persons who are currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time and indefinite basis. (Persons authorized to work on such a basis include US citizens, lawful permanent residents (“green card” holders), asylees, refugees, and temporary residents under IRCA.)
Desire: Master's degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Analytics, Data Science, or equivalent). Experience building data science and analytic training curriculum. Work experience in developing and promoting new programs. Experience in building and fostering corporate relationships.
