The Division of Enrollment Management leverages data and insights to identify challenges IUPUI faces, as well as develop and implement a strategy that leads to the University's viability. We do this from the perspective of enhancing the experience of our students from the point of recruitment through graduation.
The Division of Enrollment Management (DEM) is comprised of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, Office of Student Financial Services and Scholarships, Office of the Registrar, Office for Veterans and Military Personnel, Division of Enrollment Management (DEM) Finance and Administration, DEM Technology Services, DEM Marketing Research and Analytics, DEM Strategic Enrollment Initiatives Outreach and Partnerships (SEIOP), Indiana University Fort Wayne Student Central and Office of IUPUI and Ivy Tech Coordinated Student Programs (Passport). In addition to IUPUI, the Division of Enrollment Management oversees the recruitment, enrollment, and retention efforts of our sister campus IUPUC.
Under the direction of the Senior Assistant Director for Marketing and Recruitment and Communications, the Interactive Media and Communications Assistant is responsible for assisting in the development and maintenance of web and other interactive media assets in support the recruitment and retention efforts of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, Division of Enrollment Management, as well as academic schools and individual units or departments. These assets include, but are not limited to; websites, web forms and HTML emails.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform regular maintenance of assigned websites including content updates, accessibility, troubleshooting issues, identifying and fixing broken links and web standards compliance. Create content and images as assigned. Mastery of current campus/institution web architecture, including appropriate campus and University templates, links and content management system for all web content manipulation. Assure web presence and information is accurate and clear. Assure web-based information is archived for future needs and reference.
Assist in the creation/generation of emails. Provide analytics of site and campaign effectiveness data for evaluation.
Maintain knowledge of existing and emerging concerned technologies for use in the effective presentation of information. This includes but is not limited to the evaluation of communication technologies like web architectures, online chats, SharePoint, etc. Keep current with emerging web technologies through review and understanding of relevant blogs, listservs, workshops, appropriate meetings and conferences.
Work directly with RCSC leadership in an effort to bring projects through to completion.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, media arts, or a related field and one year of experience managing multiple sites and pages, as well as communications campaigns; ORequivalent experience developing interactive media using web-based languages and tools.
Advanced web adaptability and experience using a web content management system. Knowledge of best practices for front-end web development. Strong understanding of creating inclusive and accessible content for the web. Knowledge of website design tools with Adobe Creative Cloud (including, but not limited to, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Dreamweaver). Knowledge of and experience with advanced web development and analytics tools and languages. Ability to effectively communicate information, marketing efforts, and ideas in all formats, including written and video. Detail-oriented, self-motivated and able to work independently. Ability to coordinate projects. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience with working in higher education and with diverse populations.
