Chemistry and Biochemistry: Postdoctoral Fellow: The Liu Laboratory in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Miami University, Oxford, Ohio, is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow to support innovative research aimed at developing novel organic transformations. The position is full-time for one year with renewal, dependent upon satisfactory annual review and funding.
Assist with the development of new organic chemistry reactions
Maintain an accurate and detailed laboratory notebook of all experiments performed and provide sufficient details to ensure methods and results can be duplicated by others
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment
Prepare graphical representations of experimental data
Collect and analyze experimental data
PhD in Chemistry
Five or more years of laboratory experience
Strong publication in organic methodology development
Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask
Attention to detail and execution of work protocols in a reproducible fashion
Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
Proficiency with computers required
Desire: Experience with any of the following: organic methodology development, electro-organic synthesis, electrochemistry.
