University Support Services LLC (USS) is the North American correspondent for St. George's University (SGU), a leading center of international medical education, drawing students and faculty from 140 countries to the island of Grenada, in the West Indies. The Information Security Analyst assists in the implementation of security controls, creation of security policies, vendor risk management, cyber security awareness, monitoring and responding to security events, data security, data classification, and compliance. The Information Security Analyst works within a small security team and interacts heavily with other Information Technology (IT) teams and business units.
Monitor and investigate security events from multiple sources.
Respond to incidents in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
Respond to escalated security incidents after hours.
Investigate phishing events.
Evaluate existing and/or establish new data security controls for effectiveness and efficiency.
Manage the administration and daily operations of SIEM technologies, including rule creation, reporting, correlation and performance monitoring.
Develop and maintain IT security awareness and training materials to reinforce required security controls.
Perform Vulnerability Management scanning and work with IT teams to prioritize patching.
Prepare, document and enforce operating procedures, protocols and standards set.
Preform vendor risk assessments.
Assist the IT teams to develop and document the security hardening of servers and systems.
Prepare status reports on security matters to develop security risk analysis scenarios and response procedures.
Continuously remain current on emerging security threats and technologies.

Understanding of Active Directory and LDAP.
Understanding of DHCP, DNS, and IP networking.
Familiarity with Log Aggregation technologies such as Splunk, ELK, or Sumo Logic.
Familiarity with the usage of SIEM platforms such as Splunk, ArcSight, or AlienVault.
Familiarity with EDR and NGAV tools such as Carbon Black, CrowdStrike, or Endgame.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Two (2) to four (4) years in Information Security or comparable years in similar field.

Hours and Travel
A typical work week is Monday through Friday 9am to 5pm.
Ability to work extended hours as appropriate to implement strategic initiatives.
Ability to work out of normal office hours as needed.
